What inspired you to pursue a career in the automotive industry?
I was looking for a part time position while in college, and a friend referred me to apply to a dealership. I started as a receptionist and began learning more and taking on various tasks. My General Manager told me, “Some people chose the auto industry, and the auto industry chooses some people. This industry has chosen you and this will be your career.” From that moment, I committed to learning everything I could.
What was your first job in the automotive industry?
Receptionist.
What part of your job do you find most satisfying?
Helping employees in reaching their full potential by fostering a positive work environment, promoting professional development, and contributing to employee satisfaction.
What motivates you every morning?
Striving to inspire my daughter and other women to pursue their ambitions. By demonstrating that success is possible through hard work and dedication.
What has been one of the most rewarding moments in your career?
My current role has been the most fulfilling and rewarding experience of my career.
How do you feel women have made a unique contribution to the automotive industry?
By introducing diverse perspectives and fostering inclusive work environments. Women have unique perspectives that often lead to a variety of creative ideas and enhanced customer satisfaction.
Can you share a lesson or insight you’ve gained during your career journey?
Take the hard job, the more complicated one, accept all your failures, be humble in your success and your purpose will have more meaning.
What is your favorite motto or quote?
All careers have peaks and valleys. You will change your valleys into peaks when you find and use the good hidden in the bad.
What advice would you give to other women aspiring to pursue a career in the automotive industry?
You will encounter unlimited career opportunities, advancing technology, diverse perspectives, and the chance to break stereo types. Your presence will enrich the industry.
What hobbies do you enjoy?
