Fort Bliss Service Member Training Program
Premier Truck Group is proud to partner with the U.S. Military and Universal Technical Institute to help transitioning service members build successful civilian careers. Located at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, the 12-week Technical Skills Program equips participants with the hands-on training and industry knowledge needed to step into high-demand Service Technician roles across our Premier Truck Group locations.
Currently in its 18th cohort, the program has trained more than 160 veterans for careers in diesel technology. These graduates bring unmatched discipline, technical capability, and leadership to our organization and to the industry as a whole.
The program doesn’t just launch careers, it creates long-term advancement opportunities. Ruth Brager, a Fort Bliss graduate, began her journey with Premier Truck Group as a Service Technician in Fort Worth. Through dedication and continued development, she advanced into Warranty and now serves as a Service Advisor, where she continues to excel. Ruth’s achievements earned her recognition as one of PTG’s Winning Women of Premier, demonstrating the career pathways and professional growth possible for program graduates.
Since its launch, the Fort Bliss Service Member Training Program has been about more than technical training, it’s about building a bridge to meaningful, stable civilian careers. The program not only creates employment opportunities, but also strengthens the long-term stability, wellbeing, and livelihood of participants and their families as they transition out of military service. Premier Truck Group remains deeply committed to supporting veterans, raising awareness of their invaluable contributions, and helping them and their families thrive in the next chapter of their professional journey.
